Fort Bend MUD 47 (FBMUD47) has contracted with CSI Consolidated dba Aims Companies to complete cleaning and televising of the main sanitary sewer lines in the following portions of the District: Olympia Estates Section 1, Olympia Estates Section 5, an original sanitary sewer line bisecting the Enclave at Lakeshore Harbour, and around the commercial areas on the Walmart tract.

Sanitary sewer cleaning is a vital component of maintaining the existing sewer system to its maximum effectiveness and capacity. Cleaning and inspecting sewer lines are essential to maintaining a properly functioning system. Sanitary sewer cleaning and televising helps FBMUD47 evaluate pipes so that any necessary maintenance, repair, or replacement can be scheduled to minimize unexpected problems and emergency repairs.

This work is scheduled to begin the week of September 19^th and will take approximately 2 months to complete.  There is no expected disruption of household sanitary sewer function during this process.  Below are maps indicating the areas that are being targeted as part of this capital improvement project.

Sanitary sewer lines in within the Vicksburg Cumberland Village portion of FBMUD47 were cleaned and televised in late 2013/early 2014.

Thanks to several days of consecutive rainfall and continued rain showers over several weeks, the drought in Fort Bend County has eased. According to the Texas drought map, our area has decreased from an intensity level of D3-Extreme Drought to D0-Abnormally Dry. (See Drought Map comparison of August and September in Water Conservation under Water Tab). Every drop of water counts and water conservation is important as we rebound from our severe drought conditions. While there are no mandatory restrictions in place, residents are always encouraged to reduce water usage in their homes and irrigating their lawns to continue to contribute to water conservation efforts.

Due to the recent rain, the trail and drainage work on the section of the sidewalk that extends between the Lake Shore Harbour and Olympia Estates subdivisions (along Volterra Lake Drive) in proximity to the area around the Diamond Creek Drive cul-de-sac has been delayed. The start of the project will be determined by the weather and continued wet conditions.

Residents: Upon receiving several reports of damage to portions of the walking bridge that spans the drainage channel between the Vicksburg subdivision and the Lake Shore Harbour subdivision, MUD47’s operator has secured boards over the areas of concern until the District can have the bridge inspected in its entirety. The boards are painted orange and are currently installed on top of the original boards resulting in a raised edge. Please use caution when crossing the bridge.
